So day 6 of my little series, Saturday the 13th of December, 2014. (Previous posts in this new series can be found here post #1, post #2, post #3, post #4, post #5)
I was about to change the title of this post to High Carb instead of Low Carb but then realized that it wasn’t THAT bad (for a low carb’er it was bad). I just came across this The Recommended Amount & Percent of Carbohydrates Per Day
For example, if you eat a 2,000-calorie diet, shoot for 225 to 325 grams of carbs per day; and if you eat 2,500 calories a day, aim for 281 to 406 grams of carbs. Adults who drop their intake to 1,200 calories a day for weight loss need about 50 percent of their calories from carbs, or 150 grams per day.
Then my 211 carbs for Saturday almost seems low carb ;-) Â So lets have a look.
Breakfast
I started out with a late breakfast. Had a 3 egg one (It is after all Saturday), with cheese, tomato, spinach, ham so nothing extra ordinary.
Seems I’m pretty good at staying around 350 to 500 calories for breakfast, also accounts for a 3rd of the days intake.
Lunch
Lunch followed not long after breakfast and was rather simple and straightforward. A friend of mine brought me this the other day, lots of carb but she knows I like sushi.
So was already above what I am for in carb…and dinner was still to come and not to forgot.. snacks..
Dinner
I had decided a few days earlier that I was going to have pizza this evening, so pizza I had ;-)
Oh and then I had a beer together with the pizza. Could not find any carb info on it, so I declare it carb free (Yes, I know, not true…)
Watched some TV and oh, decided for another beer.
That was it, no more beer or drinks that evening.
Snacks
I didn’t go as crazy with snacks as I feared but a friend came over with some Hmmm, coconut biscuits or so.
Never had those before and I better never buy them, as I otherwise would eat them all. Around 60 grams (guess) resulted in 300 calories and 34 grams of carb. Compared to yesterdays M&M’s this almost seems innocent.
Nutrition information for the day
So I ended my day with around 400 calories more than I used, pretty crazy when I was more active than normally, but I let the words speak for themselves.
Crazy, according to MyFitnessPal.com I would stay on my weight if I continue like this, but I don’t think will take that chance and after all, the idea is to drop more in weight. Time to drop down in carb again, need to get back to the side effect that with low carb intake the appetite also drops and the craving for sweets also goes away.
